This is an excavated group of Viking 15 silver belt plates and fittings, dating to the 10th - 11th century. Each plate is shaped as two inverted triangles each with three pellets (similar to that found on punched silverwork) the larger ones have birds (possibly representing Huginn and Muninn?). The belt plates retain some type of lead-pewter filling for stregnth. The reverse on some  retains tiny bronze pins for attachment to a leather belt. The group also has a ring for the belt buckle. Several bits of hack silver and Dirham coins are also in the lot. An interesting collection for cleaning.
