'Our Daily Bread'

A Victorian, beechwood breadboard with a carved border. This board is carved with the words 'Our Daily Bread'  and the remainder of the border is carved with flowers and leaves. Originally the carving would have been deep and well detailed but it is now quite worn. There are also losses to the raised rim of the board which dates from c.1880. The wood has a good, rich patina.
