Victorian Bread Knife

A Victorian steel breadknife with a carved wooden handle. The handle is  carved with  wheat and  the steel blade is elaborately engraved with the words ’Bread Knife’ . The carving is quite simple but it is well done and it is quite deep. The knife dates from c.1890. It is in excellent condition and the blade is still very sharp.
