A tall, Victorian copper mould made by Benhams. This mould is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above a pattern number ’471’. To the opposite side is a workman’s mark in the shape of a radiating sun.  It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. The design has a six pointed star to the top with alternate angular and fluted columns to the side. It is in very good  condition, with just two very tiny dents, one to the top and one to one of the angular columns. The tinning, to the interior, is still very good, so the mould could be used.
