A good quality, 19th century, French copper mould with medlars to the top. This is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper, and it has a castellated seam up the side. It dates from c.1870. It is in excellent condition but there is a small amount of tin remaining on the exterior of the mould, in the ridges of the fruit. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
