A nineteenth century, copper mould with a pennytop design. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It is stamped with a pattern number ’18’ and it is also engraved “ *B*L* “. These would be the initials of a previous owner. The design has wrythen tubular columns to the sides which culminate in the overlapping penny design to the top. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
