A lovely quality, French copper mould with a flower and bud to the top. This is stamped “TROTTIER FNT PARIS”, within a circle, above a number ’14’. It is also engraved “H. CATOIR” and this would be the name of a previous owner. The design is very deep and beautifully modelled, and this sits above dome topped fluted sides. The mould is made from a substantial gauge of copper, has a turned rim, and dates from c.1880. It has taken a bump to the rim, which has left a small dent and mark to the copper, but otherwise it is in very good condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still good enough for occasional use.
