French mould by Trottier

A super quality French copper mould with a bunch of grapes to the top. This mould is marked, to the side, “TROTTIER FT. BREVETE’ and it is also stamped with the numbers ‘1’ and ‘5’. It dates from c.1870 and it is well made, from a substantial gauge of copper. The moulding, to the top, is very deep and well detailed and there are fluted columns to the top section of the sides. It is in excellent condition and it is a fabulous mould to display either on a shelf or hanging on a wall. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
