A Minton tile from the Rural Scenery Series. This is transfer printed in brown with three highland cattle in a field. It is marked, to the reverse, “MINTONS CHINA WORKS STOKE ON TRENT” and it dates from c.1880. There is also a circular impressed mark which includes “WALBROOK LONDON”. There are some very tiny chips to the rim.
