A very fine quality, early 19th century, pink lustre coffee pot and cover. This piece is unmarked but it was probably made in Sunderland c.1820. It is very lightly potted in creamware. It is decorated, in a primitive style, with a house and tower, in varying shades of pink lustre. This is one of the many differing designs which are known, generically, as the pink lustre house patterns. There are two very small chips, one to the end of the spout and the other to the under side of the foot. Other than this it is in very good, clean condition and the lustre is still very bright.
