19th Century Copper Mould Pattern '36'

19th Century Copper Mould Pattern '36'

Code: J21906

SOLD

A very attractive, 19th century copper mould. This is stamped with a very small number ’36’. It is probably English and dates from c.1870. It is very good quality, made from a heavy gauge of copper. The design has two tiers of stiff leaves to the sides, surmounted by ten small domes. This is not uncommon but this example has the addition of the star flower shape to the centre which makes it quite different. It would display well either on a shelf or hanging. It is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is badly worn.

Dimensions: Diameter 14.8cm. Height 11.8cm.
