A dark blue jasper dip biscuit jar and cover. This piece is  impressed  'WEDGWOOD' to  the base and it dates from c.1860.  There are also two small tool marks which could be the marks of the workman. It has sprig moulded decoration which shows classical maidens offering sacrifices. The lid is decorated with a wide band of acorns and oak leaves. The reliefs are all good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue. A small amount of the blue dip has leached into the edges of the white relief but both the pot and lid are in very good condition.
