A set of five, green majolica glazed dessert plates. Each plate is impressed with the mark 'DAVENPORT' around an anchor. Three have the numbers '6' and '0' to either side of the anchor are the other two have the numbers '5' and '6'. These marks date the three plates to 1860 and the other two to 1856. This was Davenports method of dating their productions. Each plate is moulded with vine leaves and then covered in a deep green, majolica glaze. The design is very well detailed and all of the plates are in excellent condition.
