Small Butter Print

A small wooden butter print with an unusual carved design. It is difficult to tell what wood this print is carved from as, over the years, it has built up a very dark patina. It dates from c.1830 and is possibly Welsh in origin. It is carved with three odd looking flowers and foliage and there is a simple, beaded border. The carving is good quality and very deep and the print is in very good condition.
