A small pewter ice cream mould in the shape of a potato. This is marked, in the casting to one side, 'L G' and to the other side it is marked with the pattern number '1743'. L.G. is the mark of the French manufacturer Letang and it dates from  c.1880. This mould is well detailed and naturalistic, and it is in excellent condition. The interior is in very bright, clean, usable condition and the exterior has quite a light patina.
