Pineapple Mould

A very attractive, pearlware mould with a pineapple to the base. This mould is English and it dates from c.1790. The design is extremely well modelled, with very fine detail to the pineapple and an interesting border of a loop and pin design surrounded by crosses. The mould is quite lightly potted, in pearlware, and it has a rich, blue glaze. It has three  long, peg feet to the underside. There is a crack running from the edge, at the base of the pineapple, across to one of the feet. This is approximately 9cm long in total.
