A very handsome, reclaimed, solid oak six panel door suitable for internal or external use. The door, dating to C.1910, is large and heavy and has been well made and has a lovely traditional style design with six raised and fielded panels of three different sizes. The oak has a beautiful colour that highlights the fantastic grain and medullary rays. The door has a varnished finish but the varnish is old and breaking down and you may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit.

The door is in good solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The door has some knocks, chips and some surface cracks. The top of the door has some splits. There is some colour variation and staining to the oak and the panels have a darker colour one one face. There is some damage to one side where the oak has been knocked and some slithers of wood are splintering away. The hinge slots are cut quite deeply into the side of the door. There are some small gaps where the panel mouldings meet and to one of the joins at the top of the door, where filler is missing. There are some holes and marks left from door furniture removal and one hole has been patch repaired to a good standard. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a great appearance and would make a nice front door or would also make a lovely feature internally and is a well made and desirable item.
