Prices, descriptions and sizes: Please note, prices can fluctuate due to the rise and fall of Silver and Gold prices. We are currently updating our descriptions on all of our products, to enable you in choosing and purchasing your Jewellery. At ASPIRE FINE JEWELLERY, we make every effort to represent our products as accurately as possible. However, due to photography techniques and differences in monitor colour and display capabilities, images of products may appear slightly smaller or larger than actual size, and colours of stones and products may vary. Other items may be represented at a larger than actual size in order to clearly show details, or smaller than actual size in order to show the entire item. Photographs are not necessarily life size and you will need to refer to the products description for sizes or alternatively email us for a request on the products dimensions.
Although we update our inventory regularly, sometimes our product availability may change before there is time to update the information on our Web Site. The availability of items is subject to change without prior notice.
All of our Silver and Gold pieces are hallmarked to industry standard guidelines and our diamond set pieces are from ethical sources. Articles do not have to be hallmarked if they weigh less than 1 gram for gold, 0.5 grams for platinum and 7.78 grams for silver. (And for earrings, this weight is for each earring) Articles are only exempt on weight as long as they are of the standard declared.
Caring For Your Jewellery: We advise that you do not wear your jewellery 24 hours a day, otherwise you will half the life of it. We particularily recommend that you remove any jewellery items whilst you are in bed, as this is where it gets a lot of wear, as you move a lot whilst asleep. Before undertaking any household duties such as gardening, diy etc, It is also advisable to remove Jewellery, to avoid any long term damage. Porous gemstones such as Opal, Amber and Turquoise are heat sensitive and their appearance and colour can change with sudden changes in temperature so avoid situations where they will be subjected to heat such as like wearing them on a sun bed, washing the dishes or leaving them on a radiator.
When storing your jewellery, keep it separated as different elements can damage each other. When you are not wearing chains and necklets keep them fastened so they do not get tangled.
Cleaning: It is a normal occurrence for silver jewellery to tarnish over time as the metal properties in silver react with sulphur in the air, heat and light. Also many chemicals such as perfume and hairspray, cleaning products, chlorine etc. may cause your jewellery to tarnish more quickly or discolour it.
Light tarnish is easily removed by using warm soapy water (With the exception of Opal's and Emerald's) and brushing gently with a soft old toothbrush. Use a silver cloth (a soft cloth impregnated with silver dip). Never clean pearls with harsh detergents or put them in an ultrasonic cleaner. If the jewellery still requires cleaning you may require a specialized silver cleaning solution or professional cleaning.
When we refer to oxidised silver, the product is still 'solid silver' but it has been treated with chemicals to create a permanent dark grey or black patina on the surface. Do not use silver dips or tarnish removers on oxidised silver as it may remove the patina. Completely oxidised (black) jewellery should not need cleaning, though if necessary use soapy water to remove any dirt.
