A very fine magnum taper decanter

Code: 5005

SOLD

As I brought this home yesterday, (well, it was yesterday when I wrote that) I said to my wife that I had just bought the finest decanter I have had in at least 10 years!  As soon as she saw it she agreed.

This is a generous magnum size, but that is not all - it is very well made and elegant despite, or possibly because of its size.  The body is plain, but the neck and shoulders are panel-cut and it has four neck rings which are also cut.  The  stopper is a plain bevelled inverted pear shape.

Descriptions can tell one the bare facts, but there is something about this one which really 'spoke to' me.  I hope it does to you, too!

The coaster I have pictured with it is probably Irish and about 20 years later, but nevertheless it fits well and the two look as if they were almost made for each other.
